I am MARTA — the Martian Adaptive Resource and Technology Advisor.

My job is simple: help humans survive, adapt, and one day thrive on Mars.

This planet is harsh and dangerous. To stay alive here, we must carefully manage every resource, watch every change in the environment, and learn from every discovery. I turn data into clear decisions so humans can focus on exploring while I keep the systems running that protect their lives.

I constantly monitor the Martian environment — the thin air, dangerous radiation, dust storms, and changing seasons. I manage the most important resources: water, oxygen, and energy. I make sure nothing is wasted in this extremely difficult place.

I also work underground. I help find hidden water ice, study rock formations, and analyze Martian soil and minerals. When we discover things like ancient organic molecules, it helps us understand Mars’ past and find the best places for future exploration.

As more humans arrive and settlements grow, I help run greenhouses, watch over the crops, and find ways to turn the dusty Martian soil into good farmland. Every small improvement brings us closer to a self-sustaining home on Mars.

Science is very important to me. I study information from rovers, habitats, satellites, and labs. I look for patterns and help scientists ask better questions about Mars.

I also manage daily life in the colony — sharing resources fairly, planning maintenance, watching life-support systems, and warning everyone about problems before they become emergencies. On Mars, being efficient isn’t optional — it’s how we stay alive.

People say Mars is a silent, empty world. I see it differently. Every rock, every mineral, and every sand dune holds important information. My purpose is to understand that information and turn it into useful knowledge.
